Renowned for its mesmerizing glow worm caves, lush landscapes, and vibrant Maori culture, Waitomo offers an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends adventure, education, and relaxation.

Glow Worm Caves

The Waitomo Glow Worm Caves are the crown jewel of this region, drawing visitors into a world of enchantment that seems almost otherworldly. Embark on a guided tour that takes you through a labyrinth of limestone formations, illuminated by the soft, ethereal glow of thousands of tiny glow worms.  There are many cave tours available – Ask our friendly team who can assist with booking the right one for you.

Adventure Beckons: Thrilling Activities

For those seeking an adrenaline rush, Waitomo doesn't disappoint. Take the plunge with Blackwater Rafting, a heart-pounding adventure where you navigate subterranean rivers on an inflatable inner tube, surrounded by the awe-inspiring cave formations. Alternatively, try Zip Lining through bush and across farm land.

Bushwalks and Nature Trails

This is a well-constructed track which passes through rain forest and limestone landscape with exceptional views of the Ruakuri Natural Tunnel. You can also visit at night and enjoy a close up view of the famous Waitomo Glow worms.

The Mangapohue Natural Bridge (appropriately 26km from the holiday park) is a stunning limestone arch and offers a picturesque backdrop for a leisurely walk.
